Current Issues

The Government has appointed a new national Council for Crime Prevention for the term 1.7.2024–31.5.2027. During this term, the Council's work will focus on tasks related to the Government Action Plan for the Prevention of juvenile and gang crime. The Council is chaired by Professor of Criminal law Sakari Melander from the University of Helsinki.
